The Life and Times of
Robert (Bobby) Miller
That's the abridged version, anyway. I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2007. While there, I studied web programming and art. I graduated with a BS in Computer Internet Development. During the final two years of school, I taught myself computer animation from a sheer passion of creation with computers, and a love for the art itself. I love telling stories, and I found animation to be a wonderful medium for doing so. I'm currently working as production crew at WNDU-TV, an NBC affiliate station in South Bend, IN. I'm always working on improving my abilities while working. By combining my logic and art backgrounds, I hope to become a technical director in the animation industry.
I'm a huge computer buff. I love swapping and tweaking PC hardware and seeing how much I can squeeze out of my components. I'm a PC gamer, but I have to admit that I don't get around to playing games nearly as much these days as I used to. As a kid, I couldn't get enough of jumping Mario over chasms of nothing and running Sonic through ridiculous amounts of loops and corkscrews. My brother and I discovered PC gaming with the release of Half-Life in '98. I spent many hours experimenting with the engine by creating custom sprays and maps. I've always found the progression of the games industry fascinating, ever since I held the controller of an NES in my little 5 year old hands.
More recently I have begun writing articles for the online tech journal Icrontic acting as the Computer Graphics Tech Writer. This has been a great experience for me as it allows me to progress my writing abilities, as well as stay in line with current trends in graphics technology.
